This chatbot and any live agent(s) you chat with provide only general information. You may contact the superior court where your case is or will be filed for more information, for example, about court proceedings or details of a case.
This chatbot and any live agent(s) you chat with are not authorized or equipped to give you legal advice. The Virtual Customer Service Center is not authorized or able to provide legal representation for any person or party, and its services are not intended to, and do not create an attorney-client relationship. If you would like legal advice about an issue or case, you should consult an attorney. You can find information about locating free or low cost legal assistance at https://selfhelp.courts.ca.gov/get-free-or-low-cost-legal-help.
Any information that you share with the Virtual Customer Service Center (including with the chatbot or during your live chat) is not confidential. Information that you share and related communications may be monitored, used, or disclosed for any lawful government purpose or pursuant to applicable laws.
Answers given by this chatbot, or any live agent(s) may contain errors or may be incomplete. The Judicial Council of California and the California courts (and their officers and personnel):
- Make no representations or warranties about the Virtual Customer Service Center, and are not responsible for any damage, loss, claim or liability arising out of your use of the Virtual Customer Service Center, or information provided by the chatbot or in the live chat.
- Do not warrant the Virtual Customer Service Center or any related materials will be error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
The Virtual Customer Service Center is provided on an “as is,” “as available” basis, and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued with or without notice at any time and without any liability to anyone.
