Resources for child support

Legal help and information

  • Court's Family Law Facilitator or Self-Help Center

Free legal information from your court. Court staff with experience in family law and child support can answer questions about child support and help you with your court forms.

  • Guideline Child Support Calculator

The California Child Support Guideline Calculator is based on the same child support legal guidelines used in California courts. You can use it to estimate the amount of child support that may be ordered in your case.

  • LawHelp

A lookup to help find legal aid offices and lawyer referral services in your area.

  • County Law Library

Librarians can recommend self-help books and help with legal research. Many libraries also offer free self-help programs, like "Lawyers in the Library". You can also ask a law library a question in Live Chat.
