If you want your tenant to move out of your property you'll need to let them know in writing (give notice). If they're doing something they aren't supposed to, you'll need to tell them what they're doing wrong. If your tenant won't fix the problem or move out, you'll have to go through the court to get an order for them to move out.
The eviction process can take 30 - 45 days, or longer. The time starts from when you have eviction court forms delivered to your tenant to the time they must move out.

1. Give notice
You have to give your tenant a written Notice before you start an eviction court case. There are different Notices depending on your situation.

2. Start a court case
If your tenant doesn't do what you asked in the Notice by the deadline, you can file forms in court to start an eviction case.

3. Ask for trial date or default judgment
If your tenant files a court form to give their side of the story you can ask for a trial date. If they don't, you can ask the judge to decide without a trial.

4. Go to trial
A judge will hear both sides and make a decision.

5. After the judge decides
If you win your eviction case your tenant will need to move out (and possibly pay you). If you lose your case your tenant can stay.
